42 Years of Technical Field Experience
Don Mario Rojas Inzunza represents more than four decades of technical work connected to fishing vessels, electrical systems and marine electronics. His experience was built in the field, solving real onboard operational needs and earning the trust of vessel owners, captains and fishing skippers.
Our Origin at Sea
M&C Marine Solutions comes from a family history linked to the sea and onboard work. Our grandfather’s vessel, Don Mario I, represents the origin of a path that we now project with technical experience, commitment and a forward-looking vision.
Technical Experience and Business Direction
Two generations with the same origin: the sea, fishing and technical field work.
M&C Marine Solutions SpA brings together the technical experience accumulated by Don Mario Rojas Inzunza with the commercial direction, business development and international outlook led by Cristian Rojas Coloma.
Don Mario represents more than four decades of technical knowledge, real onboard work and trust built with vessel owners, captains and fishing skippers.
Cristian Rojas Coloma represents the formalization of M&C Marine Solutions SpA, its commercial and digital development, relationships with national and international suppliers and the creation of new opportunities to bring reliable maritime solutions to the Chilean market.
We do not aim to be just a company that sells equipment. We aim to be the technical partner that understands the need, recommends the right solution, installs, calibrates and supports the system throughout its lifecycle.

MAQ Sonar in Chile
Advanced omnidirectional detection for professional fishing
Authorized dealer and technical-commercial MAQ Sonar partner for ChileM&C Marine Solutions integrates omnidirectional sonar solutions for fishing vessels requiring precise detection, installation, calibration, local technical support and operational field backup.
Omnidirectional sonars for demanding fishing operations
MAQ Sonar develops 360° omnidirectional detection systems for fishing vessels that require clear fish school reading, operational stability and reliable support for decisions at sea. Each configuration must be evaluated according to vessel type, required frequency, operating area, available installation space, sea-chest, hoisting system and the owner’s technical requirements.
MAQ models for technical evaluation
Long-range capability for professional pelagic fishing
- Stabilized 360° omnidirectional sonar.
- Designed for long-range detection.
- Ultra-narrow 5°/6° vertical beam for higher acoustic concentration.
- Adjustable transmission power between 80 and 120 kW.
- Reference operational range of up to 6,000 meters, subject to sea conditions, installation, target species and configuration.
- Software updates available according to manufacturer policy.
Ideal for vessels requiring long-range search, pelagic operation and broad exploration capability before approaching the target.
Balanced range, definition and mid-water operation
- Mid-frequency omnidirectional sonar.
- Approximate operating range between 53.333 and 68 kHz, depending on system configuration.
- Oriented to precise detection in shallow waters and purse seine operations.
- Narrow beams to reduce noise, reverberation and interference.
- Display modes such as continuous 360° and vertical tracking.
- Compatible with hoisting options according to installation configuration.
Balanced alternative for vessel owners seeking solid mid-range performance, coastal operation and reliable detection of pelagic species.
High definition for complex targets and shallow waters
- High-frequency omnidirectional sonar.
- Approximate real operating range between 87.5 and 92.5 kHz.
- Designed for detecting complex targets near the surface.
- High resolution to identify compact or dispersed fish schools.
- Configurable vertical beam according to operating mode.
- Approximate electronic tilt from +10° to -45°.
- Professional operating modes: Omni 360°, stabilized, search, vertical tracking and trawl.
- Integration with GPS, satellite compass and synchronization systems to reduce interference with other onboard equipment.
Especially useful for coastal operation and pelagic species where target definition and near-surface reading are critical.
Omni 360° technology in a compact format
- Compact 90 kHz omnidirectional sonar.
- Designed for vessels with limited space or optimized budgets.
- Simultaneous 360° scanning around the vessel.
- Fixed 10° vertical beam in transmission and reception.
- Reference useful range of up to 300 meters for dense fish schools, subject to installation and operating conditions.
- Compact transducer of approximately 5.5 inches in diameter.
- Compatible with standard 6” or 8” tubes, according to technical evaluation.
- Main modes: Omni 360°, directional stabilization and trawl.
- Integration with GPS and satellite compass depending on configuration.
Attractive option for advanced artisanal vessels, medium purse seine boats and owners seeking to move from traditional systems toward modern omnidirectional detection.
When the sea moves, detection cannot be lost
In scenarios involving swell, rain, maneuvering and demanding operation, fish school reading must remain clear to support fast decisions at sea. MAQ Sonar is oriented to deliver visual continuity, operational stability and technical confidence when it matters most.
Final configuration, performance and range depend on project technical evaluation, installation, sea conditions, target species and official manufacturer documentation. Why MAQ is a strategic alternative for modernizing onboard detection
In professional fishing, the difference is not only seeing a signal, but maintaining a useful reading when sea conditions change, the vessel moves and the fish school demands fast decisions. MAQ Sonar combines omnidirectional detection, operational stability, specialized frequencies and local technical support to deliver a serious solution for vessel owners seeking greater control during operations.
Continuous reading around the vessel to support search, tracking and interpretation of the fish school.
Stabilized systems designed to compensate motion, pitch and roll, maintaining a more reliable operational reading.
22 kHz, 60 kHz and 90 kHz options to adapt range, resolution and acoustic behavior to each operation.
High-frequency configurations support higher definition in coastal scenarios, shallow waters and difficult pelagic species.
Compatibility with GPS, satellite compass, external synchronization, hoisting systems and console configuration according to project.
Technical evaluation, installation, calibration, operational adjustment and field assistance for owners, captains and fishing crews.
Products and specifications presented are reference technical information based on manufacturer documentation and must be confirmed according to model, configuration, availability, installation and each vessel’s requirements.
